King James Development Foundation (KJDF) is a Community Based Organization (CBO) which was founded in the year 2020, to contribute to local development efforts, through supporting the education and general welfare of needy children and youths. The organization mainly targets those children and youths whose lives have been affected by poverty, neglect, HIV/AIDs, and loss of parents.

KJDF operates in Wakiso District, a largely rural suburb in Central Uganda. We mainly target three rural sub-counties of; Kakiri, Ssisa and Nsangi.

We currently support a total of 20 children, who are given access to proper education, health care and general livelihood requirements in form of food, clothing, and other sanitary requirements. Five of these children are under full custody of the organisation, while 15 are supported under the care of their parents / guardians.

With improved access to resources, KJDF has plans of increasing the numbers of beneficiaries and expanding to cover other areas of the region and the country.

In cases where families are extremely struggling to survive, KJDF has an economic empowerment program where these families are supported to start up small-scale enterprises to generate income for their survival.

We also have a skilling program for the youths who are supported to attain technical skills such as hair dressing, building skills, metal fabrication, and catering, among others.
